However, their newfound stability is shattered when the Balga Empire s top assassin attacks Tsushima in a bid to take revenge for one of the man s many past transgressions. Pitted against the assassin's overwhelming power, Tsushima realizes there is only one way he can keep Lupus from getting caught in the crossfire: sacrificing his own life. But Lupus refuses to accept this reckless plan. Her new identity, her hard-fought freedom, and her life free from political intrigue what do these things matter if her knight has to die for her to keep them?
