Item description from seller

The first substantial review of Cooper's work by reference to his important, but neglected lithographic drawings. Generally regarded as the foremost English cattle painter of the nineteenth century, his early topographical works and particularly his drawings on stone are relatively unknown and unrecorded and date firstly from the 1820s. xv, 165pp in colour and black and white.
