Paperback. Thinking Then Hindsight.by Josiah G. LittlejohnRaw, unfiltered, and unapologetically honest, this poetry collection takes readers through the full arc of one man's inner world: struggle, survival, race, faith, love, loss, and the search for meaning on the other side of hardship.Organized into eight distinct movements, Fighter, Racial, Love, Religion, Destination, Different, List Poetry, and Political, the collection moves fluidly between vulnerability and defiance. Some poems wrestle with depression, poverty, and the will to keep going. Others confront identity and heritage head on. Still others turn toward romance, spirituality, and the small, strange joys that keep a person tethered to hope.Littlejohn writes in a voice that is conversational, blunt, and often confrontational, refusing to soften hard truths for the sake of comfort. There is humor here too, and tenderness, and moments of clarity that only come from looking back on where you've been. This is poetry written not for the classroom but for the reader who has lived through something and needs to see it named.Thinking Then Hindsight. is a book for anyone who has ever had to think their way through pain before they could understand it.
