8vo 198pp. second printing, October 1937. from front flap: "Did you know that--Hot-dog stands were common 1900 years ago? Permanent waves and face-lifting operations were obtainable in all ancient Mediterranean countries? Innoculation for smallpox antedates Christ? Rome, under the Caesars, had apartment houses 12 stories high? The modern nudist racket is so old that no one knows when it started? If you think all theses are new, your simple faith in the "progress" of the twentieth century is in for a bad shock. The first century had some tricks up its sleeve, too." #03133.
