- Book 2 of 2: The Effective CEO
Master the mental game needed to be a highly effective CEO.
Being a CEO is not just about strategy, execution, or getting results through other people.
It is about handling pressure without letting it control you. Making decisions without getting stuck in your own head. Staying focused when everything around you is pulling for your attention. And leading at a level your business actually needs from you.
That is where many capable leaders struggle.
They work hard. They care deeply. They carry huge responsibility. But instead of feeling clear, decisive, and in control, they find themselves reacting, overthinking, second-guessing, and getting pulled into problems they should be leading beyond.
Think Like a CEO shows you how to change that.
Drawing on Byron Morrison's work with CEOs and senior leaders in 18+ countries, this book gives you the practical tools, frameworks, and exercises to stop reacting, get out of your own head, and take control of your role so you can lead with more clarity, confidence, and effectiveness.
Inside, you'll discover:
- How to recognize the exact moment reaction mode takes over, and the simple shift that gets you back in control
- How to make better decisions under pressure without overthinking everything
- The real reason overwhelm, second-guessing, and mental clutter happen, and how to clear them for good
- How to stay focused on what actually moves the business forward, even when everything feels urgent
- Why the way you think directly shapes how you lead, communicate, and perform, and what to do about it
- How to show up as a calmer, clearer, more effective CEO, day after day, not just on your good days
This book is for founders, CEOs, and senior leaders who want to:
- Stop feeling stretched thin and mentally overloaded
- Lead with more confidence and emotional control
- Make clearer decisions when the stakes are high
- Stop getting trapped in doubt, noise, and reaction
- Become the leader their role and business now demand
If you want to think more clearly, lead more effectively, and perform at a higher level without being controlled by pressure, emotion, or overthinking, Think Like a CEO will show you how.

Store description
In 2002, World of Books Group was founded on an ethos to do good, protect the planet and support charities by enabling more goods to be reused. Since then, we've grown into to a global company pioneering the circular economy. Today, we drive the circular economy through three re-commerce brands: - Wob: Through Wob, we sell. We provide affordable, preloved books and media to customers all over the world. A book leaves our collection of over seven million titles and begins a new chapter every two seconds, enabling more goods to be reused. - Ziffit: Through Ziffit, we buy. We give people around the world the opportunity to contribute to the circular economy, earn money and protect the planet, by trading their unwanted books and media. - Shopiago: Through Shopiago, we help others. By sharing the technology that has grown World of Books Group into the business it is today, we’re helping charities increase revenue and reduce waste through re-commerce.…
