Paperback. Sometimes, things in life don't go the way we want them to, and that stinks. But this book isn't about those kinds of stinky things, rotten as they may be. This book is about nature's love of all things smelly - on our planet and beyond. Why? Because they're fun and kind of gross - yet strangely beautiful, and they smell the way they do for important reasons.Humans may not have the best sense of smell in the animal kingdom, but we do alright. In fact, scientists are discovering more about our sniffer abilities all the time. Smells can be refreshing and soothing, or they can warn us of danger. Smells can make our stomachs hungry, or they can make our stomachs heave. Smells can even help us remember people and events from long ago. Impressive, right? But you're probably here for the "gross details" previously mentioned.Okay, plug your nose, turn that page, and let's dig into Things That Stink!Disclaimer: Unfortunately, this book does not include scratch-and-sniff stickers, but get ready to make some sense out of scents.Author/illustrator Judith Graves takes readers on a humorous, informative, and stinking cute exploration of ten Things That Stink! on our planet and beyond.
