Neuware - The Bureau of Imaginary Problems survived the Devourer War. Unfortunately, survival is not the same thing as closure. In this collection of darkly comic urban fantasy case files, Mara Quill and the Bureau confront the problems they should have read earlier: a man trapped by Fey hospitality, a Djinn with a standing claim, a theater that scripts its victims, a sentient containment wagon, a coffee maker with legal opinions, a rooster no category can hold, and seven roads Hermes paid to save lives, then lost forever. As old files reopen and forgotten obligations start knocking, J. Crowley of Legal writes doctrines no sane agency should need: rescue is not ownership, for now counts, debt does not get to name the debtor, and closed is not resolved.Monsters, myths, cryptids, lawyers, ghosts, and government paperwork collide in a Bureau anthology where the strangest thing in the file may be the truth.
