To which are added: The proper names of the more remarkable places rendered into Latin.[29p.][and] The Christian names of men and women. [4p.]. Part II: The Latin appellatives before the English [etc.[. [818p.]. Part III: The ancient Latin names of the more remarkable persons and places occurring in classical authors [etc.]. [143p.]. To which are added: The Roman calendar [ 11p.], Their coins weights and measures [4p.], A chronology of the Roman kings, consuls [etc.].[16p.], The notes of abbreviations used in ancient Latin [etc.]. [22p.], A short dictionary of.Latin words occurring in our ancient laws. [11p.]. [and] A general chronology [etc.]. [5p.] The great majority of the book is good internally, with occasional marks and handwritten notes, and toning of paper, but no foxing. The pastedowns are grubby, and there is substantial loss to the front free endpaper, which has been drawn on, with lesser losses to the title-page and the first dedication page. No endpaper at rear, and first few and last few pages have small losses at the foot and edge, not affecting the text. Binding is firm; old leather boards have been rebacked with a matching leather spine, with five raised bands and label with gilt lettering. A very heavy volume which may incur extra postage.
