Paperback. Chicago, 1920. Prohibition has arrived, and with it comes an opportunity to build an empire.Al Capone has not yet become the man history remembers. He is ambitious, loyal, violent when necessary-and still living in the shadow of men more powerful than himself. But as Chicago's underworld fractures around him, every alliance, betrayal, and body brings him one step closer to discovering what it will truly cost to rise.Alongside Johnny Torrio, Capone navigates a city divided among rival gangs, political corruption, speakeasies, and men willing to kill for control. Dean O'Banion and the North Side threaten the balance of power. Friends become liabilities. Enemies become opportunities. And the line between ambition and obsession begins to disappear. But Capone's greatest struggle may not be against the men standing in his way.As reality begins to bend around him, Capone is forced to confront a question of power, identity, free will, and the person he is becoming. What is he willing to sacrifice to become the God of Chicago?Thee Autonomy Construct blends historical fiction, organized crime, psychological suspense, and surreal mystery into a reimagining of Al Capone's rise through Prohibition-era Chicago. Real historical figures, locations, and events collide with an original story that asks readers to look beyond the legend and into the mind of the man becoming it.And for readers willing to look a little closer, the story doesn't necessarily end on the final page. Chicago, 1920. Prohibition has arrived, and Al Capone sees an opportunity to build an empire. As the threats around him rise, Capone must confront the ultimate question: What is he willing to sacrifice to become the God of Chicago? This item is printed on demand.
