If you have ever wondered what it's like to be a volunteer firefighter in a small midwest town this book will describe through personal experience, the highs, the lows, the crazy things that happen, and the caring required to do the job well. Former volunteer firefighter Keven Perry walks through his experiences from a wet behind the ears recruit until he retires with funny, sarcastic, teachable, and anguishing personal stories about his experiences during his time with the Brookings Fire Department. You will laugh, you may cry, but most of all you will relate to what it takes to make it.
