This is the British first edition, basically the same physical book as the American first edition. This book was printed in the United States. The price of $12.50 on the bottom of the dust jacket fly leaf has been blacked out and a sterling price of 70s appears beneath the blacked out American price. On the title page, the name of the British publisher was printed separately and then glued in place. This large format book, 256 pages measuring 302mm X 227mm, is in near-fine condition. Stamped on the first free endpaper is: Received C. A. Fowler & Co.; Mar 23, 1961. C. A. Fowler is also stamped onto the foredge of the pages. Provenance is always of interest. The dust jacket is in very-good condition, and it is now enclosed in a protective mylar wrap.
