In the spring of 1979, one child is found dead and another child disappears. The next day, a nuclear power plant accident at the nearby Three Mile Island facility adds to the stress put on the Middletown police department. Piano teacher, Missy Jenkins, lives across the street from the missing girl, Lindsay Blum, who is her piano student. When an evacuation causes Lindsay's pregnant mother to leave town, Missy goes with her to a shelter in nearby Hershey, PA. Missy uses her unique perspective and talents to find Lindsay, with the help of her friend, Middletown police officer Mark Milner and TV reporter, Kaye Roberts.Terror doubles as the days pass with no leads, more children are found dead in towns across PA, and the Three Mile Island disaster causes widespread panic. But when President Carter pays a visit to the nuclear power plant, a ray of hope begins to calm the community down as the worst of the emergency seemed to subside as well.However, when the women return home, Lindsay is still missing. Missy continues her search and finds herself in deep trouble when she finds Lindsay and encounters the killer.

About the Author

Suzanne Flaig has had short stories published in numerous anthologies, including SO WEST: DESERT JUSTICE (Desert Sleuths Publishing); MEDLEY OF MURDER, MAP OF MURDER and MEDIUM OF MURDER (Red Coyote Press); BY THE CHIMNEY WITH CARE (Wolfmont Publishing); HOW NOT TO SURVIVE THE HOLIDAYS and HOW NOT TO SURVIVE A VACATION (Desert Sleuths Publishing) and nonfiction articles in several magazines and newspapers. She is the author of THRILLED TO DEATH, a book of ten original short stories of mystery and suspense. Suzanne is a member of the Desert Sleuths chapter of Sisters in Crime, the Mesa Writers Guild, the Tempe Charter Chapter of the American Business Women's Association, and the South Phoenix Chapter of the Women of the Moose. She is a former piano teacher and roller skater who lives in Phoenix, Arizona with her husband, Paul.

If you use this option, we will communicate to you an acknowledgement of receipt of such a cancellation on a durable medium (e.g. by e-mail) without delay.

To meet the cancellation deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right to cancel before the cancellation period has expired.

Effects of cancellation

If you cancel this contract, we will reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (except for the supplementary costs arising if you chose a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us).

We may make a deduction from the reimbursement for loss in value of any goods supplied, if the loss is the result of unnecessary handling by you.

We will make the reimbursement without undue delay, and not later than 14 days after the day on which we are informed about your decision to cancel with contract.

We will make the reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement.

We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back or you have supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is the earliest.

Exceptions to the right of cancellation

The right of cancellation does not apply to:

the delivery of newspapers, journals or magazines with the exception of subscription contracts; and
the supply of digital content which is not supplied on a tangible medium (e.g. on a CD or DVD) if you accepted when you placed your order that we could start to deliver it, and that you could not cancel it once delivery had started.
