A very crisp and clean signed first edition; inscribed and dated ("Happy Valentine's Day ---- Christine Swanberg 2-10-2001") by the author on the title page! Color pictorial wrapper with white and black lettering. 89 very clean unmarked and uncreased poetic and inspirational pages nicely enhanced by black and white photographs! "'The tenderness of Christine Swanberg's memories range from harsh to idyllic, and as she conjures them up we share them, almost becoming part of them ---- feel as the old horse felt, or the abandoned dog, and they become our memories, too. When she relives Key West, Door County, or Michigan Avenue, we say, 'Yes ---- that's how it is,' even if we've never been there, because she seems to have the total recall of details most of us tend to overlook ---- her special way of praising the word.'" ---- by John Dickson, Poet.
