Print on Demand. This book presents a comprehensive overview of the history and development of the Union Park Church in Chicago over a ten-year period, from 1879 to 1889. The author, who served as the church's pastor during this time, provides a detailed account of the church's financial struggles, membership growth, and outreach efforts. He also discusses the theological and social context of the church, and the challenges and opportunities it faced during this period of rapid growth and change. The book offers insights into the history of the Congregational denomination in Chicago, and the role of the Union Park Church within that denomination. It also provides a glimpse into the social and religious life of Chicago in the late 19th century, and the challenges faced by churches in a rapidly growing and changing urban environment. Ultimately, this book is a testament to the power of faith and community, and the importance of perseverance in the face of adversity. It is a valuable resource for anyone interested in the history of the Union Park Church, the Congregational denomination, or the social and religious history of Chicago. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format.
