Paperback. Ten-year-old Josiah "Jojo" Jones Jr. has spent more than half his life waiting by the window. Six years ago, his father vanished without a trace, leaving Jojo's resilient mother, Dee Cee, to raise three boys alone. On the afternoon of Jojo's tenth birthday, a familiar black truck pulls into the driveway. Josiah Sr. has returned, bringing promises of a fresh start. The reunion lasts only hours. Before the sun sets, police swarm the house, and Josiah is arrested on heavy felony charges carrying a potential life sentence. In a highly unusual courtroom decision, a stern judge grants Josiah a ten-week delay in his sentencing. The ruling gives him ten supervised Sundays to spend with his sons before he is locked away. For Jojo, these Sundays are more than just a chance to reconnect-they are a ticking clock.Refusing to believe his father is a common criminal, Jojo launches a desperate investigation into the missing six years. He enlists the help of his brilliantly loyal classmates: his best friend Jacob, a sharp new student named Emilio, and the intimidating "Queens" of Class 415. Ten Sundays is a gripping coming-of-age story about the weight of legacy, a mother's fierce protection, and a boy's quest to understand the man behind the handcuffs. After his long-lost father returns only to trigger a legal nightmare, a young boy must race against a ticking clock to uncover the truth behind a sudden arrest before his final days of freedom vanish forever.
