Also available in a hardcover edition with dust jacket and beautiful laminated book cover! Liberty Bell Publications is reprinting this controversial historical book from the nineteenth century for study purposes of some of the views of that time period. It is the first in a new series entitled Fallacies of Religion and Science. When written, the views herein were not held by the majority of Americans, but were indeed held by some. Modern science has proven that this "history" is not valid, along with many other "scientific" works, including those in astronomy, geology, anthropology, medicine, and religion, that were espoused during those earlier centuries. We do, however, feel that it is important to study them and learn from them the foolishness of mankind in his search for answers to so many questions not understood. He is notorious for his claims of "truth," sometimes, even "definitive" or "unalterable" truth, until proven wrong, and then saying exactly the same thing about his newly discovered "truth." In all these sciences, Truth is discovered over long periods of time, after new ideas and information move humanity in that direction. It seems to be a never-ending process. We know so little. We have corrected some grammatical errors that were found, including punctuation and spelling where possible. Many of the terms are no longer in use, but some are still used and have been rendered in modern spelling. Those not, remain as written. An index has been added to facilitate the easier Location of specific items for students or readers.

A long overdue reprinting of this controversial and debunked historical work from 1902 is now available. It is intended for the use of researchers, students, and others interested in some of the misguided views of that time period. The first in a new series entitled Fallacies of Religion and Science. Modern advancement and science has proven this "history" invalid, as well as many other outdated works in astronomy, geology, anthropology, medicine, and religion.
It is important that we study and learn from them the foolishness of mankind in his never ending search for truth. We can see that the concept of "truth" seems to have a constantly changing definition as time goes by. Yesterday's "truth" is today's fallacy, and today's "truth" will be tomorrow's. It is the inevitable, ongoing progress of humanity as new discoveries are made and new ideas come into being.
The work remains as written by the author; however, this edition includes a new, more thorough index to facilitate study and easy access to different topics. Grammatical errors that were found, including punctuation and spelling, have been corrected and rendered in modern style. Terms that are still in use today but spelled differently have been updated. Those not, remain as originally written.
Look for forthcoming volumes in our new series: Fallacies of Religion and Science!
