But they have more. Here is a wisdom honed by God's Spirit and built on God's Word. It is a wisdom that goes beyond concrete advice to a powerful perspective on family life that can carry you through good times and bad. It knows that sometimes the forces damaging families are not always outside the home but sometimes inside the home too.
If you know that life is not full of pat answers and simple solutions, if you know that keeping a family together takes work and creativity, if you know that God is in the business of building families for his glory, then this book is for you.

From the Author
There are so many books on the market that make successful family living appear to be a simple step 1 through step 6 process. Judie and I know it's not that simple, and after thirty three years of marriage and raising three bi-racial adopted and one biological child, we know good and loving families do not come easily with pat answers and simple solutions. We are very vulnerable in this book about our struggles, but also about the hope for today's families who are willing to work creatively and openly to know and love one another more deeply. See if we can't lead you with our experience to a more powerful and hopeful perspective to carry you through both the good times and the bad. There is wisdom that can teach us all how to keep our families from being torn apart by the forces and fads of the world around us. Great questions for discussion at the end of every chapter.
