Between the rocky desert walls, an unknown funerary complex comes to light, older than any tomb ever found. No inscription identifies it, no symbol claims its existence. Only a polished stone door, sealed with copper seals and inscriptions engraved in a forbidden language. When the sarcophagus is opened, the air becomes heavy, almost alive. In the night that follows, the first man dies: his skin blackened, his eyes wide open. Then a second, and a third. All seem struck by an invisible illness that advances like a death breath between the columns of the temple. Tarek, a young priest and scribe of the cult of Amun, is the only one who recognizes the signs. In the ancient scrolls of the House of Life, he has read of a ruler erased from history-the nameless pharaoh, condemned by the gods and buried in a tomb that should never have been opened. With him, in the temple, a few survivors remain: Neferet, the mummies' curator with a dark past; Khasek, the soldier who fears not the spirits but his own fate; and Menkha, the overseer's son, whose father died just hours after the sarcophagus was opened. Cut off from the desert by a sandstorm, Tarek and his companions are prisoners within the temple's walls. As the torches go out one by one, the shadows seem to move of their own accord. Carvings shift shape, statues weep blood, snakes emerge from cracks in the floor. Each clue leads to a deeper mystery: a broken ritual, a broken oath, and a vengeful god waiting to be awakened. Tarek must decipher a thousand-year-old text engraved on the sarcophagus-"When the last name is spoken, the soul will find its way back"-and face the terror that belongs neither to the living nor the dead. In three days, the curse will be fulfilled. Only those who understand the true meaning of the nameless pharaoh will survive. But sometimes, the truth is a price greater than life itself. Time passes. The shadows draw closer. And in the heart of the desert, an ancient curse awaits to be rewritten in blood. This item is printed on demand.
