A smartly bound fifteenth edition of this important novel written by British novelist Ernest Raymond. Fifteenth edition. "You must write a book and tell 'em, Rupert, about the dead schoolboys of your generation." A best-selling novel divided into two halves, both narrated by Rupert Ray. The first tells the story of his and his friends' progress through school; with the second dealing with the experiences of Ray and his friend Edgar Doe during the First World War. Written by Ernest Raymond, a British novelist, best known for this work. Raymond was a highly prolific writer, with an output of forty-six novels, two plays and ten non-fiction works. Bound by Selfridge. Bound in quarter calf with cloth covered boards. Externally, very smart with light wear to the extremities and minor fading to the rear board. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with light spotting to the fore edge and the endpapers. Very Good Indeed.
