nach der Bestellung gedruckt Neuware - Printed after ordering - Can the human mind perceive realities beyond ordinary consciousness Telepathy and the Subliminal Self by R. Osgood Mason, A.M., M.D. is a fascinating exploration of the hidden dimensions of the human mind, bringing together psychology, hypnotism, psychical research, and the study of consciousness in one remarkable volume. Written during the formative years of modern psychology, this classic examines extraordinary mental phenomena with scientific curiosity, intellectual honesty, and careful observation rather than sensational speculation.Beginning with the foundations of psychical research and the investigation of telepathy, the book explores whether thoughttransference can be understood through evidence and rational inquiry. It continues with detailed discussions of mesmerism, hypnotism, and their therapeutic and psychological significance, revealing how altered states of consciousness have expanded our understanding of memory, suggestion, and the subconscious mind.Readers are then guided through compelling chapters on clairvoyance, multiple personality, somnambulism, dreams, automatism, automatic writing, automatic drawing, crystalgazing, and the mysterious phenomenon of phantasms. Throughout the book, Mason encourages readers to distinguish careful investigation from superstition, presenting historical cases, scientific observations, and thoughtful analysis that continue to inspire discussions about consciousness and human perception.Concluding with insightful reflections on the relationship between psychology and psychical research, Telepathy and the Subliminal Self remains an important historical contribution to the study of the subconscious mind. Whether your interests lie in psychology, hypnosis, consciousness studies, philosophy, or the history of scientific inquiry, this enduring classic offers an intellectually rewarding journey into one of the most intriguing frontiers of human experience.…
