'Little Bob' books are true adventures and stories taken from the authors' own experiences or told on behalf of their many friends. Each has its own lesson... though not always the one you would expect. The series celebrates the wonder of ordinary and not-so-ordinary childhood experiences.

This first book of the series recounts the story of Annette and the trials of Annette's Mummy, a friend in Bob's U3A art class, where he found a rekindled love of illustration.

About the Authors

Bob Gardiner is the author and illustrator of the 'Little Bob' series of books and has lived his own lifetime of adventures. Bob is a retired primary and secondary teacher with an abiding interest in children's literature, both from his teaching days and reading to his own children. He can still quote you lines from his primary school readers! Bob takes all the blame for the quirky illustrations and likes to remind people that he failed art in both school and teachers' college, but has come to love it again.

Zhang Hai Qing was born in China at the height of the Cultural Revolution. She is now an Australian citizen who has worked in finance and has her own set of adventures. As co-author of the 'Little Bob' stories, Hai Qing has translated the stories into Chinese.
