Item description from seller

Good, graded from the photographs. A 1979 paperback showing its age honestly. The cover has moderate wear with creasing and scuffing, heaviest at the corners and along the spine, and the back cover shows surface scuffing and light soiling with a green stripe along the bottom that appears to be tape or a price-sticker remnant. A blue circular retail sticker sits at the upper right of the front cover. Pages are yellowed and tanned throughout with age. The spine is worn but intact and the binding is functional. No writing or highlighting was observed on the interior pages. NOT ex-library: no spine labels, stamps, card pockets, date-due slips, barcodes or withdrawal markings were found. Text block complete.

Store description

For 15 years I've been an Oregon CPA, and for 10 of those I taught tax and accounting at the college level. But my proudest work has nothing to do with numbers: I homeschooled my daughter from preschool through freshman year and in September she will be starting the 10th grade - homeschooling. This season taught me a good book can shape how a child sees the world. Every title I choose has to engage young minds to think critically and navigate this world with real understanding. Every book has a story — but it only means something when a child lives it. Why Papa Duck? I was "Uncle Duck" to my nieces and nephews for years — duck pictures fill my office, Mallards are my favorite. When my grandson arrived last year, the family asked what he'd call me. There was only one answer. CPA by training, teacher by calling, homeschool dad by experience, Papa Duck by love.…
