Organizations that are based on command and control and on hierarchies of power will not be part of the future.
"Wonderfully rich and researched book that will help leaders take concrete steps to reinvent their organizations" --Frederic Laloux, Author of Reinventing Organizations
"Engagement is the source for innovation. Teal Trust Transparency serves as a manual for boosting engagement" --Fredrik Palmgren, Founding Partner of Centigo and Business Wellness Group
What will it take for your organization to move into the future and become a place where people can flourish?
The world is changing very fast and people's expectations about their workplace make everything we know about leadership outdated and people disengaged. Some organizations manage to have a workforce that thrives and are more profitable than their competitors. How do they succeed in this?
Alicia and Rolf Medina, Doctors in Management and well-known Business Consultants in Sweden answer the questions and provide a framework, called Distributed Power, for new ways of organizing, leading and collaborating. Their book is the result of a 3-year research project where they studied more than 100 organizations. They consider themselves boundary spanners between academia and the business world after spending decades in companies such as IKEA, Ericsson, Sony and AstraZeneca, as well as at Universities in Sweden, the UK, France, and Uruguay. Their deep knowledge and experience on the subject will guide you to new ways to lead and organize.
The book can be seen as a continuation of Frederic Laloux's book Reinventing Organizations and as a practical guide.
Teal Trust Transparency will give you new perspectives, real-life examples, tools, and a framework to review your current organization, outline your own journey towards the future of organizing and leadership, and measure your progress.
This book covers several areas that need to be considered in any organization, among them:
- Distributed Leadership
- Trusting Culture
- Inclusive Decision Making
- Transparent Communication
- Lifelong Learning
- Conscious Digitization
- Healthy Finances
- Ethical Social Responsibility and Sustainability
Welcome to the future of organizing!
This book is the guide that managers, leaders, team members, and consultants need, in order to get there.
