Softcover, 244 pp. Mild wear, text is slightly age-toned otherwise unmarked, tight binding. "Reconsidering some of the theories published in Teaching as a Subversive Activity, Dr. Postman now feels that we have gone too far in expecting the schools to educate the 'whole child.' Many Americans expect the schools to do what the family, church, economy, and political system have failed to do. A fresh look at the abuses of the 'permissive' approach to education.".
