As every parent knows, the more fun children have while learning, the more they will learn! This is exactly why the Best-Selling Tiny Tot book series was created. It is an early-reading, phonics program that will teach your child to read—while also giving your child (and you!) an immense amount of fun.
Learning the letter-to-sound relationships is KEY when learning to read. A child needs to recognize the different letter shapes and remember what sounds they “say.” Uniquely, the Tiny Tot books teach these abstract, difficult-to-understand concepts through memory-enhancing games and cartoon-like pictures. The Teach Your Tiny Tot to Read books zero in on only the most necessary reading skills, presenting them in a way that ensures your child has fun and wants to learn more.
The Tiny Tot series is targeted at children aged three to eight. Primarily for kindergarten-aged children, it is also ideal for parents who want to teach a preschooler to read or help an older child who is struggling with reading.
- SIMPLE – Instructions are easy to follow. No teaching experience is required.
- FUN – Humorous games trigger the release of positive brain hormones that act to maximize learning.
- SEQUENCED – Games are sequenced for consistent success, boosting a child’s self-confidence.
- STRESS-FREE – Children and parents can proceed at their own individual pace.
- MOTIVATING – Praise and rewards are built into instruction enhancing your child's enthusiasm.
- INNOVATIVE – Instruction is evidence-based so parents' time is used to the very best effect.
Learning to read will change your child’s life! Early reading skills affect not just your child’s later reading ability but also his IQ and future academic and career success.
Recent neuroscientific studies confirm that the direct teaching of the letter-sound code changes both the structure of a child’s brain and how it operates. This kind of phonics education builds the exact circuits in a child’s brain that are required for reading.
The Tiny Tot series include nine books that teach the letters and letter combinations for the 42 sounds heard in English.
Each book is packed with games that give your child the necessary skills to become a reader. Funny stories teach the letter-sound relationships, and games help your child remember them, and to blend and segment sounds in a word to read and spell with fluency and understanding. Included in each book are fun game-type readers, a personalized Reward Badge and a Colour Me activity.
Step 1 book – Games teach the letter shapes a s t n i p, the sounds they “say”, and other key skills.
Step 2 book – Games focus on the letters b o f h u g, their sounds, and other key skills.
Step 3 book – Amusing games teach the letters l e m d r c k ck, their speech sounds, and other skills.
Step 4 book - NEW! Games teach the letters j w z y, the letter combinations oo and ee, their sounds and more!
Step 5 book - NEW! Games focus on the letters x v, the letter digraphs qu sh ch th, and their sounds.
Steps 6 - 9 books are coming soon!
And don't miss the Teach a Child to Read in One Week book! This large book illustrated in black and white outlines a complete science-based seven week (minimum) early reading program. Learning is speeded by a fun games approach.
To ensure your child's brightest, most successful future, teach him to read with the innovative, science-backed Tiny Tot early-reading program—the reading program that really works. You and your child will have enormous fun sharing what will be your child’s most important early-learning adventure.
