The typewriting skill required by the majority of typists is efficient keyboard operation at reasonable speeds; ability to decipher manuscript; the preparation of correspondence; and the capacity to set out effectively a piece of tabular or display work. In this book these and other aspects of the subject have received careful attention. A fair working speed for the ordinary typist is one in the neighbourhood of 50-60 words a minute. There is a section consisting of speed tests, and in it an explanation is given of what constitutes a word when an examination is being undertaken. Some wear and tear to D/J.(We carry a wide selection of titles in The Arts, Theology, History, Politics, Social and Physical Sciences. academic and scholarly books and Modern First Editions etc.).
