Vol. 3 Only. iv, 490, [14]p. 22.5 cm full leather binding. Front board detached. Spine leather cracked but remains intact. Leather is scuffed and worn with significant deterioration along spine, edges and corners. Would benefit from some repair. Endpapers torn. Pages clean. Text unmarked. Sold "as-is." The Tatler was a literary and society journal that published for two years from 1709 until 1711. After its closure, Steele would go on to found The Spectator with Joseph Addison, but collected editions of the Tatler, like the volume offered here, continued to sell in the popular press.
