Unlock the Immune System’s Hidden Engine to Prevent, Diagnose, and Treat the World’s Most Overlooked Diseases
The complement system is one of medicine’s most under-appreciated yet most powerful immune mechanisms—governing inflammation, pathogen clearance, tissue repair, and homeostasis. When dysregulated, it drives an astonishing range of acute and chronic diseases affecting nearly every organ system: paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria (PNH), atypical hemolytic uremic syndrome (aHUS), CHAPLE syndrome, age-related macular degeneration (AMD), lupus nephritis, thrombotic microangiopathy, chronic urticaria, autoimmune disorders, and even cancer.
In Complement Dysregulation and Disease, world-leading functional immunologist Benoît Tano, MD, PhD delivers the most comprehensive, clinically actionable, and forward-thinking resource ever written on complement-mediated disorders. Spanning 15 in-depth chapters plus exclusive protocols not published anywhere else, this groundbreaking book integrates conventional medical science with the TOBIN Framework (Toxin Overload, Hormonal Imbalance, Infections, Nutrient Deficiencies) to explain why complement dysfunction is skyrocketing in the 21st century—and how to reverse it.
Inside, you will discover:
✅ Step-by-step mechanisms of complement activation, regulation, and dysregulation
✅ Organ-specific disease profiles: hematologic, renal, ocular, neurological, cardiovascular, pulmonary, gastrointestinal, dermatologic, hepatic, and oncologic
✅ All existing FDA-approved treatment protocols, from eculizumab to pozelimab, plus detailed dosing and monitoring
✅ New and speculative therapies—including gene editing, nanomedicine, microbiome engineering, and epigenetic modulation—years ahead of current practice
✅ Functional and orthomolecular medicine strategies that address root causes of complement dysregulation
✅ Diagnostic algorithms and biomarkers for early detection and personalized treatment
✅ Clinical decision trees for managing rare and complex complementopathies
✅ Integrated patient care frameworks for nephrologists, immunologists, ophthalmologists, cardiologists, and functional medicine practitioners
Whether you are a clinician, researcher, medical educator, or health-empowered reader, this book will radically change how you view the immune system and its central role in chronic disease.
With this knowledge, you will be equipped to:
Stop disease before it starts by recognizing early complement dysfunction
Use evidence-based protocols to treat complex, multi-system conditions
Apply innovative therapies that most providers have not yet considered
Transform patient outcomes and potentially save lives
📘 Complement Dysregulation and Disease is not just a medical textbook—it’s a clinical revolution in print, bridging the gap between conventional immunology and integrative, future-facing medicine.
