In addition to its discussion on the process of tanning crop hides, this work includes chapters on experiments with Terra Japonica (also referred to as Acacia Catcechu), issues regarding Naval dry rot, and commentary on London's monopoly of the leather trade, the leather trade in Ireland, and the benefits of free trade.
