Two loves. Two lives.
One heart shattered.
Can a love from another time heal the pain of the present?
Dr Layla Angell is finally home—back in the city, back with the found family who carried her through her hardest years. But coming back also means facing William Leroux, the boy who once held her together and the man she has loved for as long as she can remember.
Brilliant, driven, and bound by expectation, William has always kept his feelings carefully in check. Until life forces him to confront what really matters—and whether the future he planned is worth losing the woman who has always been just out of reach.
Six years ahead on another path, Finn McGill is the spare, not the heir, fighting to save his family’s crumbling Scottish castle and the music that keeps it alive. Love left him wrecked once before. He never planned to risk his heart again—until Layla walks into his life and their connection feels less like a beginning and more like something remembered.
As the boundaries between past and present begin to blur, Layla finds herself living two intertwined lives—one shaped by the love she thought would last forever, and another offering a second chance she never saw coming.
To move forward, she must learn whether holding on is braver than letting go… and whether a heart that’s been broken can ever truly love again.
Tangled Hearts is an emotional, parallel-lives contemporary romance with a guaranteed happily ever after, perfect for fans of Maybe In Another Life, Parallel and The Seven Year Slip, or movies The Lake House and Sliding Doors.
Childhood friends-to-lovers, found family, second chances after loss, slow burn, soulmates
