Each village claims it as their own, and the arguments grow louder every day. Fences go up. Friendships fade. The children can no longer play together. Then something extraordinary happens. The ancient baobab tree at the heart of the meadow begins to speak, reminding both villages of a time when they shared everything - food, songs, and stories under its branches. Inspired by the tree's wisdom, the children take the lead, introducing a talking stick that ensures every voice is heard.Through patience, listening, and the courage of its youngest members, the two villages rediscover that peace grows when we make room for each other. A timeless story about conflict resolution, community, and the power of listening.Perfect for: ages 3-8, read-aloud, classroom discussions about peace, listening, and resolving disagreements, social-emotional learning, and any family that's ever tried to teach a child how to wait their turn to speak.A portion of proceeds from every Pawa Seyni book supports the Sen Yakaar Foundation, bringing books and learning resources to children across the West African diaspora.
