Paperback. Join me for an exhilarating journey that will keep you on the edge of your seat. You'll be right beside me as I track bears through the wilderness, narrowly escape death time and again, and revel in the camaraderie of the people (and dogs) I trust with my life every day. From the old-time methods of bear hunting, steeped in the culture of Appalachia, to the cutting-edge tracking technology we use today, you'll learn how the art of the hunt has evolved over the decades. You don't need to be a hunter to enjoy these thrilling tales. You'll meet my granddad, whose wild stories sparked my interest in bear hunting; my best friend, who took me on my first hunt and ignited a new passion in life; and my grandson, who is currently rising through the ranks in the Boy Scouts and becoming a bear hunter himself as I pass the torch of the traditions I hold dear to a new generation.
