Two nobles are entrusted with building settlements on identical lands at the edge of the world.
But legend has it that a dragon will strike each town in 10 year's time.
Who will secure their land and earn the right to rule?
A Parallel Side-by-Side Narrative
Within the pages of A Tale of Two Towns, two parallel tales unfold, with one unfolding on the left-hand pages and the other on the right.
Each page turn encompasses one year in each town.
With the passage of time, the impacts of decisions made by each noble are revealed. And their once-identical lands transform based on their personal motivations and wisdom.
A Teaching Tool
A Tale of Two Towns is a book to inspire your children (aged 4+) to become thoughtful decision-makers through the comparative telling of two narratives.
The consequences of each, coupled with the lessons woven within the words will show your child the compounding effects of decisions, and delaying short term gratification for greater rewards later - essential skills that lead to high probabilities for success in all areas of life.
It is shown that children that don't master these skills later face issues with academic performance, low impulse control, financial difficulties, and low levels of persistence in pursuits.
A Tale of Two Towns' interwoven lessons provides you with a resource to initiate a conversation to actively teach and encourage your child to develop crucial life skills
What else sets A Tale of Two Towns apart?
- Illustrated Digitally, with an Isometric Retro Video Game Style: The enchanting illustrations of this book are created digitally, by hand, in an isometric retro video game style. This artistic approach not only captivates young minds but also encourages them to embrace the world of reading and imagination, providing a break from excessive screen time.
- Thoughtfully Crafted Sequential Order: Each page of A Tale of Two Towns has been meticulously handcrafted in sequential order, ensuring a cohesive and iterative development of both towns.
- Strategic Placement of Memorable Lessons: Throughout the book, multiple memorable lessons are carefully woven into critical moments, maximizing their impact on your child's understanding and personal growth, while giving you an opportunity to have your say as well.
- Explore a Detailed Fantasy World: There are exciting plans for expanding the world through a dedicated website and future installments, allowing your child's imagination to soar beyond the confines of a single book enriching their minds through exploration.
