Once upon a time there were four little Rabbits, and their names were―
Flopsy,
Mopsy,
Cotton-tail,
and Peter.
So begins Beatrix Potter’s classic story of Peter Rabbit, a mischievous rabbit living with his mom and three sisters under the root of a fir-tree. When Mrs. Rabbit warns her children to stay out of Mr. McGregor’s vegetable garden, Peter decides to take his chances. But after Mr. McGregor finds Peter and chases him out, Peter must ask for help to get back home safely.
With small, sturdy pages for active readings, a valuable lesson at its center, and detailed illustrations, this edition of The Tale of Peter Rabbit is a beautiful addition to every child’s library, and a worldwide classic that stands the test of time.

About the Author
Beatrix Potter is one of the world's best-loved children's authors of all time. From her first book, The Tale of Peter Rabbit (1902) she went on to create a series of stories based around animal characters including Mrs Tiggy-winkle, Mr Jeremy Fisher and Tom Kitten. Her humorous, lively tales and beautiful illustrations have become a natural part of childhood.
A source of inspiration was the Lake District where she lived for the last thirty years of her life as a farmer and conservationist.
