Language: English. Approximately 342 pages. English: Print-on-demand reprint. Original edition : 1827. Text in English. This volume presents a collection of selections from various 'ana' (collections of quotations, anecdotes, and miscellaneous literary extracts) in French, English, Italian, and German. Compiled by George Moir, it offers a rich compendium of cultural and literary references from multiple European traditions, reflecting the intellectual exchanges of the early 19th century. The work is particularly valuable for scholars of comparative literature and cultural history, as it provides insight into the cross-pollination of ideas across linguistic and national boundaries. Book images are non-contractual. This item is printed on demand and ships from our printing partners' facility nearest the destination. These facilities are located mainly in the United States, the United Kingdom and Canada.
