For Alyssa Finley, spending the summer as a volunteer at a marine research camp in Costa Rica is a dream come true. She’s there to monitor the nesting habits of endangered sea turtles, protecting their fragile ecosystem and ensuring the hatchlings make it safely to the sea. But when the turtles suddenly begin abandoning their nesting grounds, Alyssa realizes something is terribly wrong.
With the help of her childhood friend Zach and her loyal companion pets, Calvin and Luna—bearded dragons with the incredible ability to transform into powerful dragons—she sets out to uncover the cause of the disturbance. What she discovers is more alarming than she ever expected—Neptune Industries, a powerful energy corporation, is secretly conducting deep-sea geothermal extraction, triggering seismic disturbances that threaten both the marine environment and the creatures that depend on it.
As the strange pulses beneath the ocean intensify, Alyssa must race to expose the truth before irreversible damage is done. But with time running out and the delicate balance of nature at stake, she begins to wonder—will anyone listen before it’s too late?
Set against the stunning backdrop of Costa Rica’s coastline, Turtle Beach is a compelling eco-mystery about courage, conservation, and the fight to protect the ocean’s fragile balance.
