Octavo, 9.25 in. x 6 in., pp. 455, [1], i-viii (advertising). Illustrated with ten lithographic plates and two (of three) fold-out maps. LACKS OREGON TERRITORY MAP. Foxing to endpapers with occasional light spotting throughout. Pages are supple. For protection and research uses, the "Map of Gilliam's Travels in Mexico including Texas and Part of the United States" (19 in. x 19 in.) is laid flat in archival plastic and will be sent under separate cover. Smaller fold-out entitled "Map of The Valley of Mexico" still bound in. These two maps are in VG+ condition. Storm 1554. Howes G179.
