Approximate twelfth printing ("per Scribner's "L" letter code upon copyright page; originally published 1935). [12], 912 pages. Hardcover: H 21.25cm x L 14.5cm. Dust jacket rubbed and foxed; spine sunned/faded with 2.5cm deep chip at head; other small chips and nicks at edges; several long tears with verso tape repairs; front flap is not price-clipped (dj utilizes same color design to front panel and spine as the original 1935 edition). Black cloth with gilt stamping to spine and front board; bumping and light wear at spine ends and board corners. Foxing to text block edges; past owner's ink stamps on top and bottom edges and repeated on foxed front and rear endpapers; interior leaves lightly bumped at bottom fore-edge corners but are otherwise clean. Binding is firm. OF TIME AND THE RIVER was Wolfe's second novel published as a sequel to his 1929 debut "Look Homeward, Angel.".
