Systems Engineering is gaining importance in the high-tech industry. The development of present-day systems like Digital Single-Lens Reflex cameras, Medical Imaging scanners, Industrial Production systems, and Traffic guidance systems require new ways of working that can deal with uncertainty in the early phases of development. Systems engineering is that needed approach. While it is widely applied in space and aircraft engineering, the systems engineering approach is often seen as an administrative burden. Yet, the essence of systems engineering is quite simple. This book treats this essence and provides several tools for application in systems development.
Systems Design and Engineering: Facilitating Multidisciplinary Development Projects, Second Edition, with its additions and updates, including the tools chapter, a new section on running projects, and many new exercises, continues to be the go-to resource for all complex systems designing.
Designed as a concise guide, this resource introduces systems design and engineering to engineers, designers, and those new to the field of complex systems design. It acts as a foundational toolkit for Systems Engineers, offering essential insights and practical knowledge to support their work.
