The orchestral parts for Mendelssohn's "Symphony N0. 5", in a Kalmus reprint edition (from an unspecified 19th-century source). CONTENTS: Flutes I&II, Oboes I&II, Clarinets I&II (original notation - in C), Bassoons I&II, Contra-Bassoon (Contrafagotto e Serpente), Horns I&II (original notation - in D), Trumpets I&II (original notation - in D), Trombones I&II (alto and tenor; original notation), Trombone III (basso),Timpani (D&A), and Strings [*** single copies, necessitating duplication]: Violin I, Violin II, Viola, and Cello/Bass (2 copies). CONDITION: All are unmarked, most being in Near Fine condition, the rest being Very Good. Violin I has a sunned and edge-chipped page 1 (but a pristine interior). Violin II has a slight curl at the page top. Trombone III has a discreetly repaired edge-tear. This excellent utilitarian set is now in a clear, protective polypropylene bag with archival backing board. Seller Inventory # MSC1868
