The cover has dark blue cloth. The content has 6 categories, each with entries in alphabetical order by sword or firearm's original owner. The illustrations are b/w photos. The top end of the text block has light foxing. A corner of the half-title page has foxing. The front free endpaper has an ink stamp of an owner's name, an embossed seal of that owner's library, and his name in handwriting along with "N. Carolina Society of Cincinnati." The embossed seal is also on the bottom margin of a page. Scans e-mailed upon request.
