Chapter One
Strategy 1. Drive Means Growing Your Personality while Developing Unconditional Love For Your Business"Failure is the opportunity to begin again, more intelligently." Henry Ford
Millions of professionals worldwide would like to become leaders in their profession.
In today's information age the spinning wheels of crisis, change, opportunity and business will somehow force you to look for better strategies, attitudes and values for success.
Only through developing passion, expertise and fostering the right business values and attitudes can you take success to a higher level.
Millionaires and top producers recognize that they must develop unconditional love, passionate drive and put in the hard work in if they truly want to succeed.
Improving your productivity, strategic planning and time management skills, essentially means that you will be working at a higher hourly rate, developing greater levels of job security, and build up a stronger expertise in your field.
Experts agree that if your hourly rate is $30, by doubling your productivity, you can more easily position yourself to make $60 an hour. By further improving your strategies, planning, and motivation, you can in a relatively short period of time turn your initial earning abilities of $30 to an output of over $120 per hour (and much ... much more) by using the strategies found in this book.
Understandably, it is essential that you think like a more productive strategic leader and thereby develop greater expertise in your career and industry. Developing improved credibility, confidence, greater levels of rapport, networking and improving your negotiating and selling abilities will take you further in business.
Top producers are those persons in the top 5% of success in their fields. These persons are always thinking big, making good money, finding the right markets for success and avoiding the crisis and problems that seem to hold average leaders down.
There are tens of thousands of dollars out there waiting for you right now - you just have to develop the right strategies to find it.
Top producers make six and seven figure salaries each year by applying principles, strategies and attitudes that most of us often can't put a finger on.
Becoming a top producer means that you learn to cultivate your niche and develop a higher level of expertise. These great leaders also find better ways to speculate, build relationships and come up with creative and winning solutions that help more people and make themselves more money.
Doing these things can help you make tons of money and develop strategies for growing it for the long run.
Building up strategies that deal with the problems in your life will more than likely predetermine your success. Those strategies will help to get you into the 5% of successful professionals in your industry.
In order to do so, you must grow your personality and discover new and powerful professional experiences if you really want to become a top producer.
Learning from these "top producers" or "gurus" can teach us a lot about how we should think, motivate ourselves and develop strategies for success.
Go for the Supermodel or Quarterback
Shooting for your company to make billions of dollars a year is not a bad vision. However, it is important for you to set high goals from the start and develop priorities that are attainable. Reaching these goals will help to cement your credibility and expertise as a top producer.
Defining what great leadership means for you and then instituting it in your life and business is extremely important. You must learn to project this attitude, confidence and aura to others. Ask yourself this: Are your goals too low?
Go for the "Quarterback" or "Supermodel" is a strategy that I often teach to my clients. This idea stems from the fact that top producers often have larger goals than average producers.
In America the quarterback is often the most popular and most important in a football game.
If you follow the sport, then everyone wants to be the quarterback. He controls the plays and the ball. The quarterback is the best player on the team and the most influential.
Whenever you pursue any goal, go for the best and the higher level. Don't start out taking scraps or setting you sights too low.
The supermodel is also a leader in social circles. She is usually tall, beautiful and elegant. Most women want to be her and men fall head over heels for her.
In every business situation you should also go for the supermodel. Aim to be the best and put your best foot forward right from the start. You will be rewarded big time for doing so.
Aspire to be the best and then develop the credibility to prove this claim.
Identify More Profitable Career Opportunities
Identifying new, better and more profitable career opportunities help great leaders to become more successful ones.
Always work with those people, teams and businesses that are prospering and have the potential for growth and success in the future. Help the team around you to grow and motivate and elevate others to new heights.
Great leadership is often an element of your attitude, willingness to learn and eagerness to improve. This "can do it" attitude helps you to overcome the major set backs that you are currently face or may run into in the future.
In business you are often paid well not just to identify and define problems - but to effectively develop strategies & solutions to handle them.
Develop Better Attitudes Than Your Peers
Developing attitudes and responses to conflict that you face each day will help you to elevate your success at work.
If you have better strategies for dealing with your problems than your colleagues, then you will probably make more money than them, and be promoted before them.
Recognizing that success does not come from your individual talents and abilities alone is important. You must learn to feed yourself the right attitudes, skills, talents and experiences if you want reach the highest levels of success.
Go out of your way to develop relationships, build strategies for important professional challenges, and grow the confidence and knowledge of the market to navigate safely without scrapes and scratches.
Learn to Speculate, Understand Major Markets & Prepare for Crisis
You will easily be a 6 figure top producer if you can correctly speculate, understand major markets and prepare for crisis.
Developing individual intelligence - (or IQ intelligence) - throughout your professional life is important. Individual achievements are necessary and important, but much fewer professionals have benefited and learned the values of collective intelligence (CQ intelligent).
Understanding how to build teams, being considerate of others and growing - with the support of a strong network around you is important for long term success.
If you are willing to apply the strategies in this book, you will develop a better understanding of how to work in teams, inspire the drive within you, and develop passion in others.
Your ability to improve and influence teams will help to fulfill the promotions, bonuses, and financial goals that you dream of. Let's begin to develop a realistic strategy of how you can achieve those results.
Don't Work Harder, Work Smarter
Making tens of thousands of dollars a year more isn't easy, but you don't have to have be a brain surgeon, or have a photographic memory to do it.
There are people some smarter than you, but many not as smart as you that have learned superior strategies about business and have been rewarded with six and seven figure salaries.
You need to understand that there is too much information is present in today's information age. With so many ideas, strategies and plans out there, you must stick to the plans that fit your personality and that will help you to get the best results.
Let's develop a clear, researched and proven roadmap to ensure your business success in the future.
Cultivate a Burning Desire Within Your Profession
When asked during an interview how he managed to reach the top as a professional bodybuilder and Hollywood actor, Arnold Schwarzenegger replied with a single word. "Drive!"
Beginning with a great idea and a great goal can drive you to success. But what makes ideas become reality is the drive and fuel of human desire within you.
Getting temporary feelings of inspiration arise when you develop an idea or plan can only take you so far. Developing burning desires, visions and focusing on results get you through all the perspiration necessary to overcome the inevitable obstacles along the way.
You should take a moment to think about the vision and strategic goals that you've set for yourself. If you haven't clearly set or defined your goals, then now is a great time to start doing so.
As a "Top Producer" or a "Great Leader" you must ask yourself:
How committed am I to achieving these goals?
Under what conditions would I give up?
What if I could significantly increase my desire to achieve these goals?
Top producers would tell you that they would ultimately focus on the mindset of achieving their goals. They would want to succeed so badly that everyday they would be fired-up - and willing to take the necessary steps towards getting the results they want.
Committing 100% to Your Goals
Committing 100% of your efforts to reach your goal move you from hoping for your success to knowing that you will be successful. Nowadays committing yourself to one great goal doesn't seem to be the cool thing to do.
Instant gratification seems to be the way that more business people think and live. Many business people have "Hollywood dreams" of glamour and false beliefs that business is always going to be easy and fun.
Some professionals develop ever more plastic values, and these attitudes inhibit how they perform at work.
Don't get caught in the web of not being able to commit to your major vision, goals or priorities. Commitment is necessary for you to become a top producer.
Committing to your great goal is as important as having wheels moving under your car. Without the wheels of commitment you will not go anywhere.
Developing greater commitment is one of the virtues that will help you to earn tens of thousands of dollars more from your work.
Staying busy or moving in any direction, is not the goal of top producers. They develop specific plans and strategies, and motivate themselves to move forward until they get to their destination.
Stay On The Path To Success
Quitting is not an option if you want something badly enough. Recognize that quitting is something that great professionals do not do. Remember that there is always a factual, positive and influential strategy that can help you to reach your goals.
Keep Growing Your Drive
Cultivating more important, smarter, and better organized information and strategies than your competitors will give you a competitive advantage.
However, you must be willing pay the commitment price, develop the vision, discipline and whatever-it-takes attitude to achieve results and grab your goals, dreams and visions.
Building up an intense, burning desire to achieve your goals is the only way to make you what is referred to as "driven." Top producers don't allow any day to pass by without feeling this drive to succeed - and this is why they are successful.
I don't believe that "drive" is a special quality reserved only for a privileged few: of course not!
Growing a deep, burning desire within your hearts and minds is possible with the right approach. Top producers are continually able to move to a state of total commitment.
Why Do Top Producers Handle Change Much Better Than I Do?
Searching your soul for vital answers to burning questions helps you to make discoveries about yourself and others that can strengthen your daily drive and motivation.
Experts have different answers for the reasons why some people are successful, or why others fail. You should never use education, experience, attitudes, and even genetics as a scapegoat for defining success or intelligence in your life.
However, I feel that the best and most controllable and powerful solution for you to find success in business is to take ownership of success in your career, and define yourself as a "great professional and a great leader."
Doing this helps you to better handle commitment, growth, learning, adaptability, responsibility and - understanding your colleagues, collaborators and partners in your profession.
Looking outside of your immediate circles is the key to success. Try and discover what makes some people in your industry successful, and what makes others fail.
Emulating great professionals and leaders will instantly increase your success at work. Go out and ask these leaders to be your mentors.
Ensure that you put the work in and get credible results to make yourself an attractive candidate for growth and success. Don't be disheartened if you can't find a mentor right away.
Marketing is a numbers game, speaking to 50 or more professionals will give a good choice of mentors that can help you to foster your career growth.
Develop and foster relationships which will be beneficial to your success in the future.
If you build up too many underlying feeling that greatness or success is out of your hands, then you won't have the confidence to do great things.
Worrying about your past difficulties and experiences doesn't really help you. You should forget about what others think about you.
Professionals should look at the great obstacles that Oprah Winfrey was able to overcome. She has used her challenges to help to make her a great professional and businesswoman.
Finding That Great Leadership Within You
Great leadership is within your grasps if you begin to think with greater and clearer vision, set priorities, develop a positive attitude, become more persistent and show a willingness to learn.
Making heaps of money and sustaining it over a long period of time comes from developing the mindset, attitudes and actions of a top producer. Overcoming current problems and preparing for future dilemmas makes you more ready for success. You can overcome virtually any quandary if you build up the right strategies to tackle your problems. If you do this you're well on your way to success.
Professionals may find this quote that I live by as inspirational in helping them to develop the energy, motivation and drive to become a top producer and great leader.
"Any Good Leader can get into trouble, but only Great Leaders somehow find a way out of it." Anonymous
Giving yourself a reason to fail will make you an average or poor leader. All too often the belief that you will fail is not even a factual belief.
Average Thinkers are Average Leaders
Top producers focus on success and positive thinking. They develop factual or even invented reasons on why they will succeed.
Continuing on the bandwagon of mediocrity or believing in catastrophes mean that you cannot develop higher levels of credibility, confidence or success.
You must learn to accept the responsibility and commitment of being a great leader. This often means turning failure into success.
The fact that most people think like average leaders is good news for you.
By changing your frame of mind to that of a top producer, this offers you many opportunities to rise to the top and be far more successful in your career.
The key, of course, is to demonstrate that you are a great leader, and differentiate yourself and your talents from the rest of the herd.
Moving critical issues from the back of your mind and addressing these issues as priorities helps you to become a great leader. Top producers are always proactive. They seek to understand the market, and then develop strategies, plans and priorities that enable them to win.
Succeed in Your Market & Then Foster Growth
Although top producers focus on planting the seeds of inspiration and great success they never depend on success to grow on its own.
Starting out with great visions and higher plans for quality, success and achievement are keys to success. Setting your goals too low at the start of a project or goal, makes your project doomed for failure.
Establishing a plan for great success helps to define all of the work, attitude and professionalism that top producers develop.
They understand that their master plan must be initiated at the start of everything they do. As they have higher goals, they develop the thought, experiences, patience and experience to plant this super seed which is actually the foundation for great success.
