Squid takes you on a journey to design a sustainable house step-by-step. Follow along as you witness a sustainable house unfold right before your eyes. From correctly orienting the house on the site to using all the passive/active elements to using recycled materials such as doors and windows to harvesting rainwater and heating the floor with a traditional Korean ondol and much more all explained with brilliantly drawn floor plans and elevations.
And if all that is not enough, the last section of the book is dedicated to a unique glossary that not only gives definitions of common words like SUSTAINABLE and PASSIVE SOLAR but also off-the-wall words like ECO-PUNK and VERMICOMPOSTING!
