Green cloth with gilt titles and gilt and black figuers to spine and front, no jacket, 12mo. 412pp. + publisher's list. Presumed first edition. NOT a recent reprint. Shelving soil to page uppers. Small touches of loss to tips of mildly bumped corners. Light spine slant with no effect on tight, square binding. All else fine, with exceptionally bright and sharp cloth and gilt. Pages bright and unmarked save, for light square of toning to upper pages in publishers list and "Finished 1877" in pencil in small, nice hand at end of text. Beautiful copy, probably of more regional-history than literary interest. Rare. Seller Inventory # 006731
