No one wants to think about the possibility of a nuclear disaster… but unless you do, you’re not going to be prepared to survive.
Your food storages are full… You have a plan in place for natural disasters… You know where you’ll flee to if you need to bug out…
There’s just one problem… and if it’s weighing on your mind, you’re certainly not alone.
Nearly 70% of Americans are worried about the chances of a nuclear attack—and if you’re one of them, you might wonder whether your prep work is going to be enough to see you through a nuclear crisis.
Any general preparations you’ve made so far are certainly going to help you, but a nuclear disaster is a very different beast from a tornado or a hurricane.
You need to know exactly what to expect and how to stay safe if a blast were to happen, be it as a result of a nuclear war, a smaller-scale nuclear attack, or a powerplant accident.
The truth is that the answer looks a little different in every scenario, and there’s a lot we can’t be sure of until it happens.
But that doesn’t mean that you can’t arm yourself with knowledge and tinker with your emergency plans so that you and your family have the best chance of surviving and staying healthy in a nuclear emergency.
Whether you’re a seasoned prepper or you’re completely new to the prepping game, there’s never been a more urgent time to consider what might happen in a nuclear crisis—and how you can prepare for it.
This down-to-earth and practical guide will walk you through the entire process, addressing not only your physical concerns but your emotional and psychological ones, too.
Inside, you’ll discover:
- The potential nuclear dangers that lie ahead—as well as a concise history of nuclear incidents that have already happened
- A clear understanding of the physiological and psychological effects of nuclear fallout and radiation
- Why the best place to be when a nuclear blast hits is deep inside, where you can take cover, and how you can build a DIY fallout shelter
- Exactly what you’ll need with you to shelter in place until you’re given the all-clear
- How to talk to your children about nuclear issues—and what you can do to get a reluctant family onboard with prepping
- Clear guidance for what to do as soon as you know there’s been a nuclear incident—with practical advice for key time frames
- What the first few months might look like after a disaster—and what you can do to keep your family safe and healthy
- Long-term strategies to support you as the world returns to normal… or adjusts to a new kind of normalcy
- All your questions about radiation sickness answered… Plus, the skills you need to start building now to make sure you have a healthy starting point
- The survival skills you want to have in your back pocket if you find yourself living in a post-apocalyptic world
And much more.
Perhaps you think the preparations you’ve already made will be enough… or maybe you think that a nuclear disaster would be so devastating that your survival chances would be slim.
We may not know for sure how likely our survival would be if there was a global nuclear catastrophe, but we do know that there’s a chance of escaping localized disasters… and in either case, your luck depends on how prepared you are.
