About the Author: Holly Brackmann has been teaching weaving and dyeing at the college level for more than 30 years. She holds an MA in art history from UCLA and has exhibited and lectured internationally, as well as curated textile and craft exhibitions. Her work has appeared in Handwoven, Surface Design Journal, Surface Design Newsletter, Weavers, and Shuttle, Spindle & Dyepot. Holly is a professor of Textiles and Art History at Mendocino College in Ukiah, California.
