Neuware - Explore the stark beauty and complex realities of early South Africa in William Charles Scully's 'Between Sun and Sand: A Tale of an African Desert.' This collection of short stories paints a vivid picture of life in a colonial landscape, where the vast desert shapes both the land and the lives of its inhabitants. Scully, a keen observer of the South African experience, delivers narratives steeped in the atmosphere of the region. Through tales of hardship and resilience, these stories explore themes of colonialism and human interaction within the unforgiving environment. 'Between Sun and Sand' offers a glimpse into a specific time and place, presented with timeless appeal. This edition is a meticulously prepared republication of the original text, preserving the authenticity of Scully's voice and vision for those interested in the history and literature of South Africa.
