Front of the wrapper is detached, lightly scuffed and scratched, some shelf wear, ex-library with the usual library markings, overall a nice readable used first edition (second printing)! Silver and yellow wrapper with yellow and black lettering. 232 informative and educational pages nicely enhanced by black and white illustrations! "Interesting, imaginative and eminently readable ---- these are all adjectives which appropriately describe this unique survey of architecture and its relation to the natural environment. Architects are gifted with the ability to illustrate their literary efforts with strikingly effective graphics and handsome lettering. Sun / Earth shows this talent to excellent advantage. Of primary significance, however, is the amount of information which is conveyed, generally in non-technical language, to the reader who is interested in the many ways in which natural forces may be used to produce comfortable living conditions in otherwise uncomfortable situations." ----- from the Foreword. …
