Paperback. When his romantic partner falls terminally ill, musician Phil Madeira finds himself shouldering the blame for her cancer. The disease serves to expose the dysfunction of what once seemed to be a match made in Heaven. Bearing the weight of rejection and loss, Madeira's creativity and life as a working musician are the wings that take him across the abyss of sorrow and rejection. With humor and self-awareness, the author reveals how trauma and trials can inspire creativity, and how a receptive heart can be grateful for the difficult seasons life can bring.
