Texts include historical and cultural background and examples from each of the many regions. Also includes appendices on dyes, the backs of sumak bag faces, measuring degrees of fineness in Extra-weft wrapping, woven structures and recent fakes as well as notes, bibliography and index. Internally clean without marks or additions. Sound binding. Black paper covered boards with gilt titles on the backstrip. Split in front panel joint at the foot of the spine but binding remains fully intact. Colour pictorial dustjacket is protected by clear plastic book wrap. Exellent research copy.
